The five steps

Packing becomes the record.

Every item runs the same five steps, room by room. Nobody types.

Capture

Photograph it.

Photograph each item as it goes into the box, room by room. A phone camera is the only equipment. The record is organized by room because that is how a move is packed, and unpacked.

Describe

Name it.

AIMIS proposes a title, brand and category from the photograph itself — no barcodes, no RFID. A reviewer confirms each suggestion before it becomes part of the locked record, so nothing goes on the record unchecked.

Once an item is recorded, its line cannot be changed. What the destination checks against is exactly what was captured at origin, locked and dated before anything shipped.

Today the arrival check is done by the receiving side against the record. Automated comparison of arrival captures to origin captures is on the roadmap and will be scoped with the first customers who ask for it.

What you need

A cloud application. A phone to use it.

DeviceA phone with a camera.

iOS 13 or later, or Android. No scanners, no labels, no printers.

AccountAn AIMIS account per custodian.

Provisioned by your moving company's administrator. How access is organized is described in the trust center.

ConnectivityA connection for identification.

Photographs and item data travel to the AIMIS cloud over encrypted connections. Offline capture with later sync is supported — captured items queue on the device and sync automatically once a connection returns.
